I currently am packing my bags as we speak to leave to the airport. Over the next few days, I’ll be at Droidcon Tunis, where I’ll also be a speaker. I am feeling excited about this as this is my first Droidcon outside Europe, after Brussels, London and Amsterdam (with Berlin still on my to-do list), my first time in Tunisia and the Maghreb and it will also be my first return in an arabic country after Jordan two years ago!
What is Droidcon? Droidcon is all about Android, meeting the Android community, learning about the latest development and giving you a stage to talk about your apps and solutions or just discuss a problem you are facing. What’s more, droidcon is about how businesses are increasingly utilizing Android and how companies and freelance developers can make money out of this. And, last but not least, droidcon will be the platform to discuss bleeding edge technology in the Android field and see where it all goes. (We are sure, by the way, that it’s going to be far beyond smartphones, tablets, TVs and car entertainment.)
I will do two talks, the first one will be about how to make your Android app better, by using those existing different libraries that can be found on GitHub, using best practices, etc. The second one will focus on citizen apps, apps that can be made by you and that your local community can benefit from. I will post the slides on SlideShare once I will be done with the talks. Hope to see you there!
