Petite folie : l’EF-S 17-85 IS USM…

Voulant à tout prix profiter de la promo cashback de Canon (pour fêter les 20 ans d’EOS) qui se termine fin juin, je me suis dis que c’était maintenant ou jamais que je devais m’acheter cet objectif que je voulais déjà depuis un bail : l'EF-S 17-85 IS USM. Canon me rembourseras quasi 25% du prix !

Canon EF-S 17-85 IS USM

  • Le stabilisateur permets de faire des photos nettes avec des temps d’exposition plus longs, la ou avec tout autre objectif sans stabilisateur la photo serait floue et que le trépied serait donc nécessaire.
  • C’est un grand angle et en même temps aussi un début de télé.
  • La mise au point se fait rapidement grâce au moteur ultrasonic dans l’objectif.
  • La surface du verre plus grande fait rentrer plus de lumière, ce qui avantage le temps d’exposition.
  • Last but not least, l’objectif est bien plus précis et plus net que mon EF-S 18-55 qui est un objectif de base.

Bref, cet objectif fait que mon EF-S 18-55 fait double emploi. Je ne vais pour autant pas m’en débarrasser car sait-on jamais, mon EF-S 17-85 IS USM pourrait un jour tomber de quelques étages…

(Rien à voir mais la photo ci-dessus est la première photo que je fais dans un studio bricolé avec des feuilles A4 dans une étagère blanche)

Cela fait un petit temps également que je désire remplacer mes optiques de bases Canon par d'autres un peu plus de qualité.

Je dois dire qu'avec les 150 € de réduction c'est intéressant.

Attention que cette objectif à un gros défaut!

La poussière y entre très bien coté avant et se dépose sur la lentille intermédiaire, celle juste avant la frontale... Deuxième renvois chez canon en 7 mois, la première ce fut nettoyé sous garantie la deuxième pas...

Canon connait le problème les poussière entre via les intersections du tube du zoom...

Il est aussi très lourd et sur un 400/350D c'est vraiment pas top, sur un 20 ou 30D cela va encore à condition d'avoir un battery pack qui rééquilibre l'ensemble...

Pour ton mini studio, je te conseille d'acheté des grand cartons blanc refleshissants (3) chez Ava tu en aura pour max 15 euro... Ca rend le fond plus lumineux et donc ton objet ressort mieux...

Je me suis fait ce "petit" plaisir-là aussi il y a 3-4 semaines, mais en Nikon (pô taper siouplaît), sur un D70 et avec un 18-200 stabilisé (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0511/05110103nikon18-200vr.asp). J'avoue que ça fait une énorme différence en souplesse d'utilisation, pour le télé, la luminosité accrue de l'optique et la stabilisation. Faut juste faire gaffe au vignettage plus présent mais ça évite de changer régulièrement d'objectif et d'encrasser le capteur. Bon amusement, en tous cas!

@D@n: 18-200 stabilisé, oufti Perso, je ne pense pas que je vais utiliser un télé stabilisé... J'en ai aucune utilité!

J'envisage de l'acheter avec un 400D, d'autant que le cashback devrait être prolongé jusqu'en fin aout 2007.
